No One Is Above the Law, Not Even Men of God- Blakk Rasta to Salifu Amoako

Outspoken Ghanaian media personality and reggae artist Blakk Rasta has descended heavily on Prophet Salifu Amoako in response to a resurfaced video where Salifu Amoako boasted about his apparent immunity from arrest.

The video was shared in the aftermath of the tragic incident involving his son that resulted in the deaths of two individuals, allegedly due to reckless driving.

In the throwback video, the prophet made statements that suggested that no law enforcement officer could arrest him, implying a sense of invincibility and superiority.

This sparked outrage, with many questioning the integrity and humility expected of a religious leader. Blakk Rasta was particularly vocal, highlighting the dangerous rhetoric Amoako espoused and its implications for law and order in society.

Blakk Rasta emphasized that Amoako’s lack of formal education doesn’t excuse his statements. He pointed out that while formal education is important, wisdom and common sense should come naturally, especially for a man of God.

“If you claim that no policeman can stop you from breaking the law, it doesn’t make you a Superman. It only means you live in a lawless country and that you are lawless yourself,” Blakk Rasta stated in frustration.

He expressed his dismay, saying that if he were part of Amoako’s congregation, he would have immediately walked out after hearing such remarks.

He argued that this type of leadership leads followers astray by promoting a culture of lawlessness and false doctrines. Blakk Rasta was particularly critical of religious figures who preach that success comes solely from prayer without hard work, accusing Amoako of being part of this trend.

“These are the people who preach that God will make you rich without working. Just get up and pray. What prayer can do for you, work can never do for you,” Blakk Rasta remarked, stressing the importance of action alongside faith.

He condemned the promotion of “anointing oil” and similar practices as shortcuts to success without personal effort.
