A Nigerian woman residing in Canada is determined to disrupt Ghana’s Failatu Abdul Razak’s attempt by undertaking a cooking marathon to achieve the Guinness World Record for the longest title.

The Nigerian chef, whose name is Beauty Obasuyi, has declared her intention to cook nonstop for eight days, a move that may eclipse Faila’s endeavour and this new development has sparked wild discussions as far as entertainment in Ghana is concerned.

Beauty Obasuyi, a Nigerian-born chef and the creator of the Naija Jollof Toronto restaurant in Canada is reportedly set to begin her audacious challenge on January 10 and run it through January 18.

Not only does she want to beat Faila’s planned record, but she also wants to take back the crown for Africa.

Her unwavering pursuit of this objective demonstrates her love for fine dining and her ambition to introduce the world to the complex flavors of African cuisine.

Failatu Abdul-Razak is currently undertaking a remarkable feat in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

She started on January 1, 2024, and intended to finish today, January 5, 2024 (but she has changed her plans as she wants to go close to 200 hours) while showcasing her culinary skills at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, located in the Northern region.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, also known as Mama D, has already surpassed the previous Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, previously held by Irish chef Alan Fisher.

Mama D achieved an impressive cooking time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, setting a new record. She is presently awaiting validation from GRW.

Chef Beauty informed her followers on her Instagram page saying, “It is your Chef Beauty, and I am here with some exciting news. From January 10 to the 18th, I will be cooking for 8 days straight, aiming for a Guinness World Record. I want everyone—Canadians, Africans, Nigerians—to join me in bringing the trophy back to our motherland, the Queen’s land.”
