The family of Nhyira Okyere Marfo, a member of the urban gospel group Team Eternity, has addressed the rumours circulating about her death, which have been propagated by various blogs and social media.
Nhyira passed away on August 7, with some online sources alleging that she was poisoned; however, these claims remain unverified.
In response to the unfounded speculation gaining traction online, the family has released a statement requesting privacy as they navigate this challenging time.

“Abriwa Kwabena IV Akwamu Ankonbia Hemaa and Abusapayin John Ani mante family are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Nhyira Marfo Okyere. We are still trying to come to terms with this tremendous loss and request privacy during this difficult time.
“We have become aware of certain speculations circulating on social media regarding the cause of Nhyira’s death, including claims of poisoning and other unsubstantiated rumours. We wish to categorically state that these claims are completely untrue and unfounded.
“The cause of Nhyira’s death has not been ascertained yet, and we urge everyone to refrain from spreading false and harmful information. We appeal to bloggers and social media users to respect our privacy and wait for official confirmation from the relevant authorities before sharing any information.
“We are deeply distressed by the spread of these false rumours and the harm they are causing to our family and loved ones. We appeal to everyone to be responsible and respectful in their communication.
“We will keep you updated on any developments and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.
