Nigerian politician and businessman Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has strongly refuted claims that he is planning to take Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife or that she is pregnant for him.

In a statement from his office, Nwoko’s team described the allegations as “entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation,” urging the public to disregard the rumours.

The statement also dismissed reports suggesting that Nwoko had made comments about singer Tuface and polygamy, labeling them as completely untrue.

“As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions,” the statement read.

The response comes amid ongoing speculation about Nwoko’s personal life, particularly due to his polygamous lifestyle. Over the years, his marriage to actress Regina Daniels has been widely discussed in the media, making him a frequent target for rumors.

His office has reminded media practitioners of the consequences of spreading false information and has encouraged journalists to verify any claims before publishing.

“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information,” the statement added, emphasizing the need for responsible reporting.
