NDC Has No Plan, Only Persecution – Afenyo-Markin Slams Government

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has lashed out at the Mahama-led government, accusing it of using intimidation and arrests to silence political opponents.

“All you know is persecution, all you know is arrest them. But I want to assure you that we in the Minority and the NPP, we will walk through this valley of the shadow of death. We will not fear any evil,” he declared.

Speaking on the 2025 Budget debate in Parliament, the Effutu MP insisted that no amount of threats would stop the NPP from reclaiming power in 2028.

“God will be with us. You can decide to arrest all of us, you can threaten all of us with arrest, but we will come back stronger and defeat you in 2028. This government has reneged on its commitment to the people of Ghana,” he stated.

Afenyo-Markin further accused the NDC government of failing to create jobs, instead prioritizing political persecution.

“They came into government with no clear plan to create jobs, they only came to persecute, to arrest political opponents, and deny them their basic fundamental human rights,” he added.

The Minority Leader remains resolute that the opposition will not be broken, vowing that Ghanaians will reject the NDC at the polls in 2028.
