NBA Youngboy’s House Arrest Conditions Modified To Allow Visitors

After being detained in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on a previous gun allegation, rapper NBA YoungBoy has now been given permission to modify the conditions of his house arrest.

According to court records obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Shelly Dick changed the conditions of YoungBoy’s house detention on Wednesday.

The rapper’s supervised release in Louisiana had two conditions removed by the court; as a result, he is now permitted to have more than three visitors without being subject to a curfew at home.

“The Court issues this written Order modifying condition number 18 and condition number 19 of the Order Setting Conditions of Release, Document 142 filed on October 27, 2021, for the Defendant, [NBA YoungBoy (real name Kentrell Gaulden)],” the documents read.

They continued: “It is hereby ordered that condition number 18 and condition number 19 of the Defendant’s Order Setting Conditions of Release are modified as follows: (18) No more than three persons may visit Gaulden at his home at any time. (19) No visitors are allowed at the Defendant’s home before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m. ‘Home’ is defined as the Defendant’s residence and all property and appurtenances of the residence. It is so ordered. Signed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this 15th day of March 2023.”

YoungBoy, who was at the time charged with two federal gun charges, was freed on $1.5 million bail and put under house arrest in October 2021.

In addition to his wife, a producer, and his business manager, who also lived in his house, his release placed a cap on the number of visitors he could have at once.

This past July, the rapper battled back and filed a petition to be released from house arrest, but it was rejected. The artist talked to Billboard last month about his current predicament. YoungBoy, who has been under house arrest in Utah, referred to it as his “best experience.” He added that the encounter altered his outlook on both life and music.
