Nana Agradaa Accuses Empress Gifty of Political Opportunism

Nana Agradaa, the former fetish priestess turned evangelist, has stirred controversy yet again, this time aiming at gospel singer Empress Gifty over her newfound support for John Dramani Mahama.

In a fiery video posted on her TikTok page, Agradaa questioned the sincerity of Empress Gifty’s allegiance to the NDC following Mahama’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Agradaa did not hold back as she addressed what she perceived as opportunism. “When our businesses were being collapsed for JM’s sake, where were you?” she asked bluntly, referencing the sacrifices many loyal supporters of the former president made during his years in opposition.

“You were mocking us back then. When we talk about people who truly love Mahama, some of you should stay quiet. It’s not now, when he’s won, that you’re acting all emotional as if you love him more than anyone else.”

This tirade was triggered by a public show of support from Empress Gifty, who celebrated Mahama’s victory with heartfelt posts and declarations.

While her gestures were applauded by some, others, like Agradaa, saw them as disingenuous, particularly given Gifty’s perceived affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration.
