Outspoken Ghanaian journalist and GHone TV boss, Nana Aba Anamoah has taken a stand against deceptive politicians in a recent social media post aimed at raising awareness among Ghanaian voters for the upcoming 2024 elections.
She emphasized in a social media post that the common practice of politicians trying to win over voters by visiting them and feigning concern for their well-being through household tasks and community service has become predictable and insincere.
Nana Aba Anamoah therefore cautioned that any individual, regardless of their political party affiliation, should be required to participate in all community tasks if they visit solely to gain votes through disingenuous actions.
Here’s a post she made sighted by GhanaStreetJournal;
“Politicians pretending to care by fanning fire, washing clothes etc for their targets ahead of elections annoys me the most. When they show up like that, give them the entire neighbourhood’s chores.”
Before leaving TV3, she was responsible for delivering the news and leading popular programs such as The Divas Show.
Referred to as the ‘English Madam’ on social media for her exceptional English skills, she held the position of General Manager at GHOne TV and Starr 103.5 FM.
Currently, she serves as the director of business development at EIB network and is recognized as the ambassador for women’s football in Ghana.
Anamoah is an active member of the Women’s Premier League committee in Ghana and is a passionate football supporter of Manchester United and Accra Great Olympics.
