Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his admiration for renowned Ghanaian music producer and singer Nacee, calling him a genius and the best in the industry.
Reflecting on their collaborations over the years, Mahama credited Nacee for crafting some of the most iconic campaign songs in Ghana’s political history, including the widely celebrated Onaapo and 24-Hour Economy.
In a heartfelt recount of their working relationship, Mahama explained the process behind the creation of these political anthems.
“I don’t write the songs,” he admitted. “Everyone has their capabilities, and you’ll know from my songs like Onaapo and 24-Hour Economy that Nacee is a genius and knows his stuff. I think he is the best.”

Mahama revealed that he reaches out to Nacee whenever an election approaches, entrusting him to deliver music that resonates deeply with the people.
“What happens is that anytime there is an election, I call Nacee and tell him my thoughts. Then he produces the masterpiece for the election,” he shared.
Mahama noted that this is no rushed process, as Nacee dedicates months to research and crafting each piece.
“The recent one took almost six months. He does his research and collects all the data to produce the songs. He is really talented,” Mahama added with admiration.
