Singer Mzbel has expressed her reasons for choosing not to marry, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing motherhood over being confined within the institution of marriage.
The veteran singer, known for popular songs such as 16 Years and Awosome, and a key figure in the early days of Hiplife, shared with Fiifi Praat on Kingdom FM that marriage often involves a lot of unnecessary drama.
As far as this entertainment news is concerned, Mzbel mentioned her preference for dating and having children rather than being in a committed relationship with a man.
Additionally, she highlighted the freedom of being single and engaging in activities that bring her happiness without any restrictions as the main reasons why she believes marriage is not the right path for her.
To her, having a man and making babies are her top priorities.
“I don’t have the time for that drama. I can’t stay with a man in a house so I want you to stay where you are for me to also stay where I am. With this, there is always a new date,” she said.
She continued, “If you like me and want us to be together, don’t think of marriage. Let’s keep the relationship, but we should not announce to the world that we are together.
“I don’t like the fact that people will see my husband in the club and someone who is married, What are you doing in the club? or people meeting me and questioning what I’m wearing.”
She then put the spotlight on a new ring she wears now, saying; “The man I’m with gave it to me, and it’s expensive. He gave it to me because he was happy I had a baby for him and his surname will be given to his child. As for me, I won’t marry.”
