Akrobeto has opened up about the reasons behind the end of his first marriage and his decision not to remarry.
The actor and Real News host said that in 2006, he got married with hopes of building a strong and loving family. Unfortunately, he experienced abuse from his wife, which led his family to advise him to leave the marriage to protect his life.
This revelation came as Akrobeto commented on the 20th-anniversary celebration of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia’s, marriage. Akrobeto emphasized the importance of understanding between spouses, stating that it is the key to long-lasting and fulfilling marriages.
He said, “I got married in 2006. However, my wife was abusive, so to save my life, I had to walk out. My family was of the view that if I don’t walk out, I may end up dead,” he said.
