Nigerian actress Jemima Osunde has shared a deeply personal battle with her health, revealing the toll it has taken on her life in recent years.

Taking to social media platform X, Jemima candidly recounted how a work-related decision led to significant health challenges, leaving her grappling with the aftermath to this day.

“I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care,” she wrote.

She disclosed that she contracted Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) from the food provided on set, which later triggered severe gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). “The aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last three years,” Jemima lamented.

The actress went on to reflect on how overwhelming the situation has been, particularly in recent weeks. “The past month has really been something. Sigh,” she added, giving fans a glimpse into her ongoing struggle.

In a follow-up post, Jemima humorously but poignantly expressed frustration with her condition.

“My own stomach is my greatest op,” she wrote, before clarifying, “Actually, my entire GIT. SMH.” Her words underscore the prolonged and relentless nature of her battle with gastrointestinal issues.
