My Mom Didn’t Force Me to Marry Ned Nwoko- Regina Daniels

Regina Daniels has long faced public assumptions that her mother forced her into marrying Ned Nwoko, a wealthy businessman 40 years her senior and old enough to be her grandfather.

Yet, the 24-year-old actress is now opening up about her marriage and setting the record straight on her mother’s role. Contrary to popular belief, Regina insists it was her own choice to marry Nwoko, a decision that defied even her family’s wishes.

In a recent live chat with her fans that has generated buzz on entertainment news, Regina revealed that the story of how she met her now-husband was quite unplanned. “People think I didn’t have a choice, or that my mum arranged it all,” she said, addressing the rumours directly.

“But actually, my mum was against it. My whole family said no.” Regina was determined to follow her heart, despite her family’s initial objections.

Recalling the day that changed everything, she shared a story that was unexpected yet light-hearted. “I was supposed to be visiting my boyfriend that day,” she began with a smile, recounting her annoyance at her mother’s idea of making the trip a family outing.

“I was so mad, like, ‘Mum, why do we all have to go sightseeing together?’” But her mother insisted, unknowingly setting Regina on a path that would lead to a life-altering meeting.

When they arrived, Regina was taken by surprise. “We met this charming man,” she recalled with laughter, referring to Nwoko. “It was like fate had other plans. Moral of the story: your boyfriend shouldn’t stop you from meeting your husband.”

In a humorous aside, Regina admitted that, at the time, she wasn’t lacking in romantic options. “I probably had around 20 boyfriends, each with their own purpose,” she joked, adding an air of light-heartedness.

Ultimately, Regina wanted her fans to understand that, despite the rumors, her marriage to Nwoko was a personal choice and not one imposed by anyone, least of all her mother.

The actress hinted that one day, she’ll share the full story of their unique connection, a tale of independence, family, and unexpected love.
