Veteran Kumawood actress Rose Akua Attaa Mensah, popularly known as Kyeiwaa, has shared a heartfelt message to Ghanaian youth, urging them to prioritize education, especially if they dream of living or working abroad.
Speaking about her personal experiences since relocating to the United States, Kyeiwaa shed light on the challenges she has faced due to her limited educational background.
“Life outside Ghana is not as easy as it looks. Education is very important, and I’ve come to understand that even more now,” Kyeiwaa remarked in a recent interaction.
She admitted that her struggles with the English language and lack of formal education have made everyday tasks such as communication and social integration quite difficult.
“Sometimes, even explaining what you need at a store or understanding official documents can feel impossible,” she said.
For Kyeiwaa, the challenges extend beyond mere communication. She noted that a lack of formal education can severely limit opportunities for employment and make accessing essential services a daunting task.
“When you’re in Ghana, you may not fully realize how crucial education is until you step into a place where it’s a basic requirement for almost everything. It’s not just about speaking English; it’s about being able to adapt and thrive,” she explained.
