My Legend— Shatta Wale Addresses Samini With Warm Words Over Play Ghana Initiative

Shatta Wale took to Twitter once again to address Samini and shed light on his stance regarding the Play Ghana initiative.

Respectfully, Shatta Wale emphasized that he is not opposed to the initiative itself. However, he highlighted the fact that the musicians and other stakeholders involved need to step up and fulfil their responsibilities to ensure that the DJs can maintain the momentum.

Shatta Wale also expressed his admiration for Samini, referring to him as his legend. Wale drummed home his argument, saying:

My legend ,you just have to know we are too grown now to bullshit the agenda .Nothing is wrong if creatives are on that path but the question is : Do the creative themselves play their roles well to make these DJ’s play your songs ..BIG NO !! ,WHY ?

Don’t pretend like you don’t know the problem ..you do that’s why today they don’t even listen to the great samini when he talks…I am not here to rubbish your efforts neither do I want my ways to be accepted but “THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM MY LEGEND “ and you know it . I say this with a good heart 🙏 Love ❤️

Previously, Tru News Report reported that Samini had asked Shatta Wale to shut up in a new Twitter post as he has no valuable contributions to make regarding the ongoing Play Ghana initiative, which Wale has adamantly refused to be a part of and has made derogatory comments about.

Shatta Wale, in an attempt to express his opposition to the campaign, tagged Samini and emphasized that the policy is impractical.

In reply, Samini clarified his stance but cautioned Wale to refrain from speaking if he had nothing constructive to contribute to their cause. It is worth noting that Samini’s message did not contain any offensive language, as evident from its tone.

“How can you say you deh ban foreign music. Eeiiiiiii… We know how to Ban papa. Small time dem go ban Foos for kantamanto,” Shatta Wale’s post on X read.

Another post on X read; “I just woke up to tell you ,you can’t fight foreign music .Their 10% music will over-shadow the whole Ghana. Country with so much jealousy when it’s not them on the frontline. You see how poverty deh worry your artiste with nonesense suggestion .It’s poverty my guy.”
