TV personality and former host of the popular show Kumkum Bhagya, Tima Yeboah aka Tima Kumkum has revealed during an interview with Deloris Frimpong on her Delay Show that she did not love her husband when they got married.
According to her, she met her ex-husband when she was 21 years old while pursuing her diploma degree at IBMNJ.
Continuing, she said after being in a relationship for four years, they decided to tie the knot. Tima Kumkum explained that she married him not out of love, but to make her ex-boyfriend, who had cheated on her with her best friend, feel jealous.
Surprisingly, her husband was aware of this motive. Tima Kumkum believed that their love would eventually grow, which led her to marry him at the age of 24 in Cape Coast, despite not having genuine feelings for him. She became pregnant in November, just a month after their wedding, and gave birth in April.
Tima Kumkum divorced her husband four years ago, around the time she started hosting Kumkum Bhagya on Adom TV. Since then, she claimed that her children’s father has neglected his responsibilities, but she has managed to be an independent woman for the past four to five years.
Although Tima Kumkum mentioned that her marriage started to deteriorate after the birth of their second child, she chose not to disclose the specific reasons that led to their divorce.
She believes that the absence of a partner in her life is the cause of her unhappiness. She mentioned that when faced with challenges at work, she lacks someone to reach out to for support and comfort. Therefore, she feels that having a man in her life is essential for her happiness.
