Ghanaian comedian, DKB, opened up about a heart-wrenching breakup experience during an appearance on D-Black’s Unkut show.

Recounting the incident, DKB revealed how rapper Trigmatic found him in tears at a car park in 2015 during a show.

Trigmatic narrated the encounter, explaining how he stumbled upon DKB sitting in his car, visibly upset.

Concerned, Trigmatic approached him to inquire about his well-being, leading to DKB sharing his emotional turmoil.

According to DKB, the breakup stemmed from his girlfriend’s harsh criticism about his belly fat, which she cited as a reason for ending their relationship.

“She said I have gained belly fat, so she cannot continue the relationship with me…” DKB recounted, expressing the pain of being rejected for his physical appearance.

DKB went on to reveal that he had even gone as far as paying for a gym membership for his girlfriend in an effort to support her fitness goals, making the breakup even more devastating.

The comedian disclosed that the breakup occurred just a week before the Dumsor vigil, a significant event where entertainment industry players protested against the government’s handling of an erratic power supply.

“This girl tore me apart… ‘she can’t continue with me because I am gaining belly fat and it’s not attractive for her.’ And this was a week to Dumsor vigil, so the anger on my face during Dumsor vigil was not for John Mahama; Mahama was innocent,” DKB shared, highlighting the depth of his emotional turmoil.

DKB is one of the biggest comedy brands when it comes to entertainment in Ghana.
