My Friend Tried to Poison Me—Nana Yeboah Shares Harrowing Experience

Ghanaian actor Nana Yeboah has shared a harrowing account of betrayal that has left him deeply shaken and questioning the essence of trust.

In a recent revelation, Yeboah recounted how a visit from a close friend nearly turned fatal when he discovered an attempt to poison him within the comfort of his own home.

The incident began innocently enough. Yeboah hosted his friend and offered him drinks, including Malt and Fru Telli juice. His guest wandered into a storage room where the actor kept a stack of beverages. Unbeknownst to him at the time, his friend tampered with the drinks, adding a mysterious substance to them.

“I didn’t notice anything unusual at first,” Yeboah recalled. “I even asked if he wanted more, but he said he was fine and later left.”

However, something nags at him. Deciding to take one of the drinks himself, he poured it into a glass and was immediately struck by its odd appearance. “It was foamy, and the box was swelling. That’s when I realised something was wrong and threw it away,” he explained, the horror of the discovery still fresh in his mind.

The realization that someone close to him could have such malicious intent was a heavy burden. Yeboah thought long and hard about who might want to harm him, and the answer was unsettling. “The only person who comes to my house is him. Nobody else visits me,” he said.

Gathering his courage, Yeboah confronted his friend directly. “I called him and asked if he was sent to kill me. I told him to tell whoever sent him that their plans had failed. He was silent on the phone and couldn’t say a word.” The weight of that silence was telling, yet the friend did not confess.

A week later, the man returned, seeking forgiveness. But for Yeboah, the damage was already done.

“He came back asking for forgiveness, but I told him there was nothing to forgive because when I first confronted him, he didn’t tell me the truth. Since then, he hasn’t contacted me again,” the actor shared.

The ordeal has left Yeboah in a state of heightened fear and distrust. “This whole thing has really frightened me. I’m now extremely scared of people,” he admitted, his voice filled with the lingering impact of betrayal.
