Ghanaian actor Oteele, known for his comic roles in the Kumawood film industry, has opened up about his decision to drop out of school.
In a candid interview on Onua FM, the actor shared how a disagreement with his father over his education led him to quit school entirely.
“My father asked me to go and write BECE but I told him no,” Oteele revealed. Instead, he sought an alternative path, asking his father to use protocol arrangements for him to gain admission directly into secondary school (then SSS, now SHS). However, his father refused the request.
This led to Oteele making a pivotal decision in his young life. “I didn’t want my juniors to meet me in the same class, so I dropped out,” he admitted, explaining that the thought of being in the same classroom as younger students was something he couldn’t accept.
