In a heartfelt video, Amerado shared the reasons behind his inability to pursue further education immediately after finishing senior high school.
The rapper, who has garnered considerable attention in the mainstream through years of hard work and dedication to his art, disclosed to actress and TV host Emelia Brobbey during her Okukuseku talk show that financial constraints prevented him from enrolling in university after graduating from KNUST Senior High School.
He also reflected on the support he received from his mother and others following the loss of his father when he was only 13 years old.
He said, “I finished Senior High School and got into Akrokerri College of Education and KNUST, but I couldn’t go because my mother couldn’t pay the fees.”
“I never had plans to attend KNUST because I knew it was too expensive for us. I just wanted to go to the training college, and luckily, I was accepted.”
“My mother and some unknown individuals supported me because my father died when I was 13. I always wanted to continue my education because of a promise I made to my father.”
“I saved up from music shows, and with the help of my team, who encouraged me to apply, two years ago, I finally got into the University of Ghana,” Amerado sad;y revealed.
