Mr. Beautiful has delivered a shocking analysis regarding a sequence of events surrounding Agya Koo that contributed to the decline of the film industry.
The actor, who began his journey in the now-defunct Keysoap Concert Party series and later gained prominence in Kumawood, stated in an interview reported by Graphic that Agya Koo had attained a near-mythical status within the industry.
He elaborated that Agya Koo sought to dominate the industry to such an extent that he controlled casting decisions and even altered movie storylines.
Additionally, he noted that Agya Koo was intent on preserving his spotlight, recalling instances where producers attempted to flatter him by having Akrobeto wash his car before securing a leading role alongside him.
“So to avoid Agya Koo meting out same treatment to Akrobeto when he later joined Kumawood when he came back from Belgium, Miracle Films had to adopt the strategy of making Akrobeto wash Agya Koo’s cars so they two could build a strong bond.
“ There’s no doubt Agya Koo is a very talented but this particular character of his forced the producers to devise a strategy to take him out so it got to a point that nobody wanted to use him,” he said.
