Most People Are Not Happy I’m Alive- Lilwin

Lilwin has bemoaned the fact that many Ghanaians harbour dislike towards him and even wished he had died in the tragic accident that claimed the life of three-year-old Richard Nana Yaw.

The Kumawood actor and musician revealed that the negative comments directed at him following the incident, as well as prior remarks about his character, led him to believe that he is not loved by most Ghanaians.

He said instead of receiving support to alleviate his suffering and the anguish of the bereaved family, he felt that Ghanaians were criticizing him.

He says at times, he questions why God placed him in Ghana after creating him.

Furthermore, he mentioned his confusion regarding the source of the criticism he faced, especially after the successful premiere of his movie in Accra, which was attended by a large audience.

Lilwin noted that those who watched his film were the same people who criticised him.

“When I see accidents on television, I sympathize with the victims. However, when I had my accident no one sympathized with me.

“Rather they dragged me and called for my head. They made it look as if I intentionally killed the child who was in his father’s car.

“I was expecting that people would rather help assuage my pain and that of the family but rather they dragged me. I questioned God for bringing me to this country,” he said in an interview on Believers Morning show.

“I think my life after the accident has been a movie. I am acting out the movie called a country called Ghana.

“All those who came to follow the movie I’m not sure loved me because if they did, they will not be dragging me but rather sympathize with me for the problems I am facing.

“Instead of pleading with the child’s family to forgive me, they are rather stoking fire into the issue. I even think some people are not happy that I’m alive but what they want is not the will of God,” Lilwin said as contained in our entertainment news today.
