Throughout Afua’s sinagthon journey at Akwaaba Village, he has remained steadfast, holding the placard with the inscription, ‘More strength, Afua.’ Positioned within the inner perimeter of the singing area, he ensures that his wife can see him and receive the uplifting message he intends to convey.
Afua’s endeavour to etch her name in the annals of history has garnered immense backing from Ghanaians, renowned personalities, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
On Saturday, December 24, at the stroke of midnight, Afua Asantewaa embarked on her quest to surpass the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon.
She aims to surpass the current record of 105 hours, which was achieved by an Indian in 2012. Since the announcement of her endeavour a few weeks ago, numerous Ghanaians have shown their unwavering support for Afua Asantewaa, expressing their jubilation on various social media platforms.
