Michelle Diamond, affectionately known as Michy, has been bestowed with the prestigious title of Osompahemea, queen mother of Aburi in the Eastern Region.
The grand enstoolment ceremony, held in December, was a vibrant celebration of Aburi’s cultural richness and the remarkable journey that led Michy to this point.
For Michy, this honour represents the fulfilment of a long-held dream. “It feels surreal to be enstooled as Osompahemea,” she shared with pride.

“My connection to Aburi runs deep, and being able to serve the community in this capacity is truly humbling.”
Her bond with Aburi dates back to childhood when she dreamt of one day owning a home in the area.
That dream evolved as Michy purchased land in Aburi to pursue her passion for commercial farming, further cementing her ties to the land.
Before stepping into her new role, Michy underwent spiritual cleansing and fortification, ensuring she was fully prepared for the responsibility that comes with her title
