American rapper Robert Rihmeek Williams, also known as Meek Mill, visited Ghana in December 2022 for the first time. He was one of the artistes who performed at the Afronation concert held in Accra.
During his stay, he visited Ghana’s seat of government, the Jubilee House, where he shared many pictures on Instagram that appear to be from both inside and outside the Jubilee House. He was seen in the presidential administration’s main meeting room, pointing to the coat of arms design hanging on the wall.
He later posted a music video on his Instagram page, which he shot at the flagstaff House and even used the Presidential podium.
Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to vent their frustration at the government for allowing Meek Mill to use the Jubilee House to shoot a music video. The rapper’s sharing of portions of the music video after arriving in the US stirred the controversy.
