Rapper Medikal has come to the aid of a disadvantaged school after being made aware of their dire situation through a viral video.
Blogger Koby Kyei brought the video to the rapper’s attention, showcasing the poor conditions of the students who lack proper facilities, including a toilet. The students are forced to use a makeshift toilet, posing health risks.
Additionally, a concerned woman with five children in the school also appealed for urgent government intervention. The woman said one of her children expressed disinterest in education due to the lack of desks, resorting to sitting on a block for classwork.
Medikal and his team were captured in a video visiting the school, where they pledged their support.
The rapper was seen personally cleaning and painting the school as part of his commitment to assist them. In a heartfelt caption accompanying the video, he expressed his emotions towards the cause.
After seeing the state of these adorable kids, I had no option than to show love and support. These are the future leaders of my country and I vow to watch them prosper and succeed with the little aid I can bless them with. Big thanks to @kobby .kyei for bringing and drawing my attention and I also say a very big thank you to my sister Naa Ayeley for coming on board to make these kids happy. Ghana will be great 🙏🏾
His action follows shortly after he publicly declared on X his plan to cover the tuition costs for several students on his upcoming educational tour.
“I will be paying tuition fees for some students when my school tour commences, both high school and tertiary. Will pick 1 student from each school and cover their fees till they complete school,” Medikal tweeted.
