Medikal provides reasons for disclosing information about Fella Makafui’s business

Medikal has explained the reasons behind his statements that resulted in police and Food & Drugs Board officials swooping in on his ex-wife during the peak of their contentious divorce.

In an appearance on Rants, Bants, and Confessions, the rapper stated that he harbours no ill feelings towards Fella Makafui.

He admitted that her actions provoked him, leading him to disclose sensitive information regarding the misleading aspects of her business in a self-recorded video that gained widespread attention.

While he recognized that his behaviour was not praiseworthy, he maintained that Fella should bear responsibility for the problems in their marriage.

He stated;

“I didn’t just wake up and make the video; she did something that annoyed me. The police coming to my house is what triggered me to say a lot of things at that time. Whatever I said was not meant to undermine her.

“I was mad that she did such a thing after all the support I have given her. It was not intended to spoil her business.

“I don’t regret anything I did; it was caused by something. It just pains me that the issue could have been handled in a better way to avoid the social media outbursts and all that,” he said.

What happened?

In May this year, Medikal announced that his ex-wife, Fella Makafui, had undergone a tummy tuck procedure to enhance her business prospects.

He clarified that her flat abdomen was a result of the surgery rather than her slim tea product.

“He mentioned that, despite his initial reservations about the decision, he eventually financed her surgeries in Nigeria and Turkey, investing over €25,000 in the procedures and associated costs to support her happiness.

“After she gave birth, she told me promoting her business will be slow so she wanted to do surgery. It’s normal to give birth and gain some weight.

“I told her she can use ambassadors or influencers for the slim tea, so there was no need. But she disagreed and said she wanted to be the influencer of the products. We didn’t talk for about three to four months because I disagreed.”

“As stupid as I am and because I want to make the woman in my life happy. Why not? I ended up paying an amount of money for your surgery in turkey.

“Paying your hotel, everything. Almost 25,000 euros or more than. I don’t even remember,“ he said.
