Actress Nana Ama McBrown visited gospel musician and TV personality Empress Gifty to express her condolences following the tragic passing of Gifty’s mother, Evangelist Agnes Annan, also known as Agaga.

Agaga died on December 14, 2024, after a brief illness.

Nana Ama McBrown’s visit not only provided comfort during this difficult time but also helped to resolve the longstanding tension between the two, which had centered around the ownership of the title “Empress.”

For years, there has been speculation about who truly holds the right to the title, with both McBrown and Gifty being associated with it.

However, in light of the passing of Agaga, McBrown’s visit signaled a gesture of unity and reconciliation, quelling any animosity that may have existed.

In a post announcing her mother’s death, Empress Gifty shared a touching tribute to Agaga, saying, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unfortunate passing of actress Evangelist Agnes Annan today after a short illness.

She was the mother of gospel musician Empress Gifty. Evangelist Agnes Aba Annan, affectionately known as Agaga, was a pillar of strength and love for our family.”
