Ghanaian celebrities Nana Ama Mcbrown and Stacey Amoateng displayed solidarity by travelling to Lagos, Nigeria to pay their respects at the funeral of Becca’s mother-in-law.
Dr. Saani Tobi Daniels, Becca’s husband, recently suffered the loss of his mother, and her final funeral rites took place over the weekend.
Mcbrown and Stay, who previously hosted Restoration on TV3, were seen showcasing their dancing skills during the funeral.
Their presence at the event was a gesture of support and condolence towards Becca and her husband. In a video snippet from the occasion, Stacey was seen addressing the audience and representing the Ghanaian delegation.
She conveyed greetings to Becca’s husband’s family and expressed sympathy for their loss.
Back in February this year, Becca clarified that her absence from the music scene is not due to marriage, emphasizing that music will always be her top priority.
The Daa Ka Daa hitmaker explained that her break coincided with her marriage, leading to assumptions that her marital status was the cause of her hiatus.
She mentioned that she chose to take a step back to focus on other opportunities and diversify her sources of income beyond music, which had been her primary source of livelihood for many years.
“It was not about marriage. That’s the mistake people are making. It just coincided, sort of, because it was a decision I’d already made, that I wanted to take some time. I’d (been active) for eleven years almost. And I just thought to a little break,” she said.
“I wanted to get into real estate because that’s where I wanted to make money elsewhere. I wanted to concentrate on my spa, which is one of the biggest spas in Ghana right now. I wanted to do other things,” she added.
