During a recent podcast, popular Ghanaian MC Shegelabobor shared an incident where he was disrespected by Good Evening Ghana host Paul Adom Otchere at an event.
He said this encounter left a negative impression on him, leading him to distance himself from the journalist.
According to Shegelabobor, he was approached to showcase his expertise as an MC at a birthday party for Paul Adom-Otchere’s child, which was held at his residence in Teshie.
In his words, he was offered a fee of GHC 2,000 for his services. However, it was only upon arriving at the venue that he discovered the event was Paul Adom Otchere’s kid’s birthday party.
Shegelabobor expressed that the journalist’s disrespectful behaviour was evident in the way he interacted with others at the event. Paul reportedly shouted at the children of some guests and gave orders without any courtesy.
Shegelabobor said while he was performing his duties, Paul approached him and questioned why he was being boring and making the event dull.
Paul even suggested that Shegelabobor should dance to liven up the show, a request that he vehemently refused. As a result, Paul decided to pay him only GHC 800 instead of the agreed-upon GHC 2,000.
MC Shegelabobor shared this unfortunate experience as part of a discussion on his worst experiences during the podcast, alongside other guests.
