Martha Ankomah and Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin have settled their defamation dispute, ending a GH₵5 million lawsuit that had drawn significant public attention.
The legal battle stemmed from a viral video in which Lilwin allegedly made disparaging remarks about Ankomah’s career.
Viewing the comments as malicious and damaging to her reputation, Ankomah rejected Lilwin’s public apology in December 2024 and pursued legal action instead.

Following a closed-door hearing on February 25, 2025, both parties agreed to a GH₵300,000 settlement.
A video shared by GHOne TV captured Ankomah leaving the courtroom with her legal team, appearing satisfied with the outcome.
In her lawsuit, she had sought GH₵5 million in damages, compensation for reputational harm, additional damages for the nature of the defamatory remarks, and a formal apology with equal visibility.
While the settlement amount is a fraction of her initial demand, the resolution brings closure to the highly publicized dispute.
