Ghanaian actress Mercy Asiedu has been actively encouraging Ghanaians to vote for John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming presidential elections in December 2024.

This appeal was made during a recent gathering with Mahama and members of the Creative Arts community. The meeting, which took place in Accra, served as a platform for various stakeholders in the creative arts sector to engage with the NDC flagbearer.

Mercy stated assertively that during Mahama’s previous tenure as Ghana’s president, he successfully revitalized the creative industry and even provided vehicles to support the work of some individuals within the industry.

Mercy who is currently residing in the United States of America and occasionally visits Ghana, firmly believes that Mahama possesses the necessary qualities and credibility to reinvigorate the creative industry. Therefore, she strongly advocates for his election in the upcoming polls.

“It is through his good ways that some people in the creative arts industry felt good. Some who had no cars got cars, so I beg you, let’s rally support for Mahama. He will do it because he has done it before,” she emphasised.
