John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress, has generously contributed an amount of Gh¢50,000 to support the Buz Stop Boys.
Buz Stop Boys is a group of dedicated young men who have voluntarily taken up the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in the city of Accra through their diligent cleaning efforts.
The group actively deploy their team to various areas in Accra that are plagued by filth, where they work tirelessly to desilt gutters and restore cleanliness.
A video shared by Twitter blogger Sika Official showcased Mahama, a former president of Ghana, hosting these young men in his office for an inspiring pep talk.
During the meeting, Mahama expressed his admiration for their remarkable initiative and subsequently presented them with a generous donation of Gh¢50,000 to further support their commendable cause.
This gesture comes days after Shatta Wale raised an amount of GHC 30,000 on live Tiktok and donated the funds to Buzz Stop Boys as originally planned.
The donation was specifically intended to support the group’s voluntary cleaning campaign.
The generous act took place during a community service event at Alajo T-junction, catching the group by surprise as they were actively engaged in their cleaning activities.
Unsurprisingly, a large crowd gathered around Shatta Wale upon learning of his presence.
The Dancehall artist emerged from his vehicle and, accompanied by security personnel, presented a symbolic check to the group, indicating the substantial sum of GHC 30,000.
Shatta Wale even joined the group in their cleanup efforts, demonstrating his commitment to the cause.
