During an interview on Onua Showtime hosted by Nana Ama Mcbrown, rapper M3nsa, known for his wit and sarcasm, employed these traits to describe Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.
He highlighted the worsening economic situation, with prices of goods and services skyrocketing daily alongside the power crisis, commonly referred to as dumsor, which has emerged, causing severe consequences for businesses.
In a manner that clearly reflected the reality on the ground, M3nsa discussed the situation, asserting that Ghana is doing exceptionally well and everything is running smoothly.
He pointed out the thriving businesses and the provision of essential services, which he believed showcased the prosperity of the economy. In fact, he ranked the current administration as one of the best the nation has ever witnessed.
M3nsa confidently stated that he remains unaffected, as his electricity remains uninterrupted. In an interview with Starr FM, he expressed his admiration for the Akufo-Addo-led government, suggesting that those who criticize it are merely engaging in a smear propaganda campaign.
“I always have electricity; in Dansoman, we don’t experience power cuts. What is ‘dumsor’? I’m unfamiliar with it. I don’t anticipate power outages. This government is exemplary.
“On the streets, everyone seems happy, prices are low, businesses thrive, electricity is steady, water is available, there’s money to spend, and everyone is content.
“Thus, everything is perfect. The ‘dumsor’ being discussed is merely negative propaganda by those opposed to the government,” he commented during the interview.
