Brother Sammy has expressed concern over the disconnect from emotions among women in modern times, attributing it to financial hardships.
He emphasized that many women now engage in hook-up culture as a way to cope with financial challenges.
In the past, women reciprocated love in romantic relationships, but now they tend to prioritize financial stability over emotional connection when pursuing relationships.
This sentiment was shared during his interview on Showbiz 360 on TV3.
“A lot of our ladies have turned to ‘hook-up’ because of the economic hardship in the country. For real.
“At first, if you wanted to propose to a lady, you could tell her ‘I love you’ and she would reply with ‘I love you too’. Now, if you tell a lady, ‘I love you’ she would reply with ‘My phone is damaged, give me money to fix it.
“Nobody has time for feelings again.” He further noted the sad occurrence of people leaving the country in search of better opportunities.
“If you go to the airport, it’s like everyone is running away from the country,” he observed. We pray that things will get better.”
