Megan Thee Stallion has finally unveiled the highly anticipated music video for her latest single “Mamushi,” and it’s turning heads for all the right—and provocative—reasons.
Released on August 9, 2024, the visuals feature an X-rated aesthetic that showcases Megan’s bold artistry and pays homage to Japanese culture.
The track, a collaboration with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, has already made waves since its release as part of Megan’s self-titled album. The music video, directed by Kevin ‘Onda’ Leyva, was filmed in various iconic locations in Japan, including the Tsurumaki Onsen Jinya and the Engaku-ji Temple.

It captures a sultry narrative where Megan channels the essence of the mamushi, a venomous Japanese viper, as she navigates a world filled with danger and intrigue. In the video, Megan and Yuki team up to execute a well-crafted plan against gangsters in a visually stunning Japanese spa setting.
The storyline takes a dark turn as Megan uses the souls of defeated gangsters to create an army of blue-faced minions, drawing inspiration from Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film “Dreams.”
“Mamushi” has quickly become a fan favorite, inspiring a dance trend that Megan herself has embraced. The track’s infectious beat and catchy lyrics have solidified its place as a summer anthem, further establishing Megan Thee Stallion as a leading force in the music industry.
