Nigerian music icon Timaya has officially released his ninth studio album, “Gladiator,” on August 14, 2024, and it is already generating excitement across the music scene.

The 13-track project showcases Timaya’s artistic evolution and solidifies his status as a leading figure in the Afrobeats genre.“Gladiator” features collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Phyno, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Eugy Official, and Jamaican dancehall star Konshens.

This diverse lineup adds a rich variety of sounds and styles, elevating the album to new heights. The production is led by Young D, a frequent collaborator known for crafting hits for major artistes, creating a lush and dynamic soundscape that complements Timaya’s storytelling.

The lead single, “In My Head,” featuring Tiwa Savage, has already become a fan favorite, showcasing a dance-ready vibe with pulsating rhythms and catchy lyrics. Other standout tracks include “Sweet Us,” which taps into Nigerian street culture, and “Compozure,” blending elements of South African house and Nigerian highlife.
