Lilwin has reacted to the criticism he and his PRO received from Ghanaians regarding a recent press statement that contained numerous grammatical errors and incorrect word choices.
In that specific statement, his management aimed to inform media outlets that the scheduled studio interview with his Nigerian co-stars would not take place as originally planned.
The press release’s overall choice of words and grammar fell below standard, resulting in numerous errors. Okyeame Akwadaa Nyame, his Public Relations Officer, faced ridicule from internet users due to the mistake-laden press statement.

“Management of Ghana’s Most Favorite Actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin writes this letter to inform you on Hold Lilwin’s Radio Tour for Tuesday 21st May 2024. The office of the Public Relations had previously requested an interview appointment from these media outlets with Lilwin and the Nigerian Cast.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Lilwin unable to proceed with his Radio Tour for Tuesday. Therefore, we would like to request on hold all Radio and media interviews booked on Tuesday 21st May 2024 of with immediate effect.
“Management apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope that you can process this cancellation or withhold as soon as possible.
“Please reach out to the office of the Public Relations if there are any further steps that needs to be taken. Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter.

In reaction, Lilwin clarified that the controversial statement was intentionally crafted to attract public interest. He mentioned that the goal was to generate excitement for the debut of his film, ‘A Country Called Ghana,’ in Kumasi
Lilwin, as quoted by Adomonline, then urged Ghanaians to move beyond focusing on negativity and to truly embrace and support creative individuals in the nation.
