In the wake of Akua Donkor’s passing, the political landscape of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) faces significant uncertainty.
Actor Lilwin recently voiced his concerns about the future of the party and the suitability of Akua Donkor’s running mate, Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, to lead the GFP in her absence.
“We all know that Akua Donkor chose Roman Fada as her running mate,” Lilwin remarked.

“But my concern is whether her family will provide him with the money she used for her nomination or if he will have to use his own.” This question highlights the financial challenges that Roman Fada may face as he steps into the spotlight.
Lilwin expressed doubts about Roman Fada’s ability to campaign effectively given the current situation. “Given the current situation, I doubt Roman Fada will have enough funds to campaign effectively. So, winning the elections seems unlikely for him,” he stated, laughing.
Akua Donkor, the founder of the Ghana Freedom Party, was known for her bold and outspoken nature. Despite lacking formal education, she made significant strides in Ghanaian politics, advocating for the rights of farmers and women.
Her journey from a cocoa farmer to a political leader was marked by resilience and determination. She ran for the presidency multiple times, capturing the attention and admiration of many Ghanaians.
Linwin also took a moment to offer his condolences to Akua Donkor’s family. “I want to send my sincere condolences to the family of the late Akua Donkor. They have lost a great woman.
It’s an election year, and those who intended to vote for her will now have to look elsewhere. May her soul rest in peace,” he said. His words reflect the deep respect and admiration many had for Akua Donkor and the impact of her loss on the political landscape.
