Lilwin’s second court appearance for the unfortunate accident resulting in the death of a 3-year-old boy, who has already been laid to rest, has prompted police prosecutors to seek advice from the Attorney General’s Office.
Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, Lilwin’s counsel, stated that their course of action would be determined by the advice received from the Attorney General’s Office.
Lilwin was released on bail of GH₵50,000 with 2 sureties by the Asokore Mampong District Court, a development that ignited entertainment news in Ghana.
The A Country Called Ghana movie producer was taken into custody on Monday, June 3 by the Manhyia Divisional police command following his alleged role in a tragic accident resulting in the death of a 3-year-old child.
The arrest is in connection with a recent accident in which he was driving and tragically caused the death of a three-year-old boy called Richard Nana Yaw Ampomah.
The boy died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on Saturday, May 25, after being involved in an accident at Amakom in Kumasi.
It is reported that Nana Yaw was seated in the front passenger seat of his father’s vehicle when it collided with Lilwin’s branded Mercedes Benz.
Eyewitnesses claim that the actor was driving at high speed during the collision.
The family of the deceased has been demanding justice, leading to intensified efforts by the police.
