Popular dancer Lil Smart has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) following a petition filed by singer Naira Marley.
The police confirmed the arrest on Friday, nearly two weeks after Lil Smart’s sudden disappearance, which had sparked concern among fans.
According to police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Lil Smart was taken into custody over criminal defamation, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and spreading falsehoods.

In a viral video, the dancer admitted to making false allegations against Naira Marley, expressing regret for his actions.
His arrest follows previous claims he made on December 9, 2024, alleging that Naira Marley and Zinoleesky had threatened his life. He later filed a petition against both artists.
Amid the controversy, Nollywood filmmaker Stanley Ontop accused Naira Marley of orchestrating Lil Smart’s “secret arrest.”
With Lil Smart now in police custody, the case has taken a new turn, raising further questions about the circumstances leading to his detention.
