Let’s Be Clear, I Wasn’t Late- Burna Boy Clarifies On Lagos Concert

Burna Boy has insisted that he wasn’t late for his Lagos show and has taken to Twitter to give his version of the story after turning up at 3:00 instead of 7 pm for the high-profile event.

The African Giant insisted in his post that he’s not blamable for the mishap, saying the late start of the show was due to organizational deficiencies. He said he could have opted out after what happened but the love he has for his fans means he still has to mount the stage and give them a dose of his goodness.

According to Burna Boy, there is no way he could have gone across the world performing on first-class stages and entertaining numerous people only to neglect his own people back home.

A fragment of his post states;

“Let’s be clear, I wasn’t late, my band wasn’t late. We pride ourselves on being highly professional, especially with our stagecraft. There were three options available to me: wait for the audio to be fixed and delay the show.

Lagos, I love you but l can’t do this again. The organizational structure and infrastructure are not there for the complexities of my audio and production needs. Investors and stakeholders interested should please hit me up; we need to make some changes.”
