In a surprising turn of events, popular Ghanaian content creator Kwadwo Sheldon has come to the defence of dancehall artist Shatta Wale following what many have labelled a less-than-stellar performance at the much-talked-about Freedom Street concert in Jamaica.
The event, hosted by Vybz Kartel, featured a star-studded lineup including the likes of Spice, Popcaan, Skillibeng, and Busta Rhymes, but it was Shatta Wale’s performance that caught the most attention for all the wrong reasons.
Wale, who has always been an energetic and engaging performer, was criticized by some fans and observers for his song selection and stage presence during the concert.
Many attributed the lack of crowd engagement to his music choices, leaving Shatta Wale open to ridicule from fans of both the artist and the Jamaican music scene.

However, Kwadwo Sheldon, known for his strong opinions and candid commentary on the music industry, has stepped forward to offer his support for the Ghanaian dancehall king.
In a recent video, Sheldon addressed the ongoing backlash against Wale, vehemently defending him and pointing out what he believes is a misunderstanding surrounding the performance.
“Listen, let’s put some respect on Shatta Wale’s name,” Sheldon began, addressing his audience. “You know, I’ve been critical of him before, but this time, it’s unfair.
“Wale didn’t deserve the backlash he’s getting, especially from people who don’t understand the dynamics of these kinds of events.”
