Kwabena Agyepong has announced with deep sorrow the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Comfort Agyepong (née Adjoa Badu), on February 18, 2025.

Through a heartfelt post shared on social media, Agyepong expressed his grief, describing his mother as a pillar of strength, love, and resilience.

“With a heavy heart, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Mrs. Comfort Agyepong (née Adjoa Badu), on February 18, 2025.

“She was a pillar of strength, love, and resilience. She now rests with my father, Justice Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong. Funeral details will be shared in due course. May her soul rest in perfect peace,” Agyepong wrote in the emotional tribute.

Mrs. Comfort Agyepong was the widow of the late Justice Kwadwo Agyei Agyepong, a respected High Court judge and retired army officer.

Justice Agyepong was one of three High Court judges abducted and murdered on June 30, 1981, during the early days of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) military regime, a tragic event that deeply affected the nation.

Kwabena Agyepong, while mourning the loss of his mother, has expressed gratitude for her enduring love and fortitude, and has shared that the funeral arrangements will be made public in due course.
