The Kumawood film industry came together in a remarkable show of solidarity on Saturday as top celebrities gathered to honour the late actor C Confion.
The funeral, held at Buokrom in the Ashanti Region, drew an impressive attendance of actors and filmmakers paying tribute to a colleague whose contributions to Ghanaian cinema will be cherished for years.
C Confion, born Bright Owusu, passed away in December following a battle with illness.
The late fast-rising actor left an indelible mark on Kumawood and earned the admiration of both his peers and fans.

The ceremony saw the attendance of several iconic figures from the industry, including Agya Koo, one of Kumawood’s founding stars, and Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, a celebrated actor and comedian often regarded as Agya Koo’s successor.
Other familiar faces included Kwaku Manu, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Oteele, Yaw Dabo, and Nana Yeboah.
Mourners from all walks of life shared in the grief of losing someone who had brought so much joy to audiences across the country.
