In response to the criticisms directed at him, King Paluta has addressed the issue surrounding the video of him singing his popular song Aseda to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region ahead of the 2024 elections.
During the recent episode of the United Showbiz programme on UTV, King Paluta defended his actions, stating that he did nothing wrong by honouring Dr Bawumia’s visit and meeting with him and other creatives in Kuamsi.
He emphasized that there was no way he would disrespect the NPP flagbearer and Vice President of the country by turning down his invitation to avoid any misinterpretation of the situation as an endorsement.
The New Artiste of the Year at the 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) particularly objected to a radio host who strongly criticized him, stating that the person lacked substance for attacking him without knowing his true intentions.
“I heard a presenter attacking me because I joined the Vice President on his campaign bus. I think he has a tank in his head to think that way.
“Even the said presenter feels disrespected when artistes are invited and don’t show up, how much more the Vice President of the country who is an elderly man?
“I went there because the Vice President wanted to see me and if you have a problem with that it is your cup of tea. I drove there with my fuel so if he gives me something to fuel my car, is it a crime?”he fired.
