Despite the progress King Paluta has achieved with his vocal skills since integrating it into his art, Ghanaian entertainment critic and artiste manager, Kwaku Osei Koranteng Asiedu, also known as KOKA, has criticized his singing abilities.
Evaluating the current Artiste of the Year titleholder, KOKA labelled Paluta’s voice as useless, highlighting his tendency to sing off-key and include unnecessary repetitions in his songs as the reasons for his critique.
“His voice is not that great; he needs a voice coach for his singing. His voice fluctuates in the song. The voice he uses to sing is useless.
Singing requires a format. He has to sing in a key. He sings off-key all the time and there’s so much repetition,” KOKA remarked.
He did mention that he recognizes Paluta’s talent, but he believes that Paluta should take inspiration from rappers such as Castro, Kofi Kinaata, Amerado, and Sarkodie, who have successfully incorporated singing into their music at certain stages of their careers.
“His songs are good, and the production quality of the songs is good. He himself is good. I think he is blessed with the singing. He needs to look at artistes like Castro, Kofi Kinaata, Amerado, Sarkodie, etc. and learn from them,” he said.
KOKA advised King Paluta to seek the help of a voice coach to help improve his craft.
“All he needs is a voice coach, someone to train him in his breathing and singing on keys. And trust me, he will go far as an artiste,” he stated.
