KiDi appeared on Okay FM, hosted by Abeiku Santana, to discuss his latest single titled ‘Lomo Lomo’, which features Black Sherif.
In a clip from the interview shared on UTV’s Twitter account, KiDi explained that the title of his song is derived from the Ga language, meaning ‘curse.’
Demonstrating his fluency in Ga, the acclaimed artist clarified the differences between similar-sounding words in the language.
He noted that while “Lomo” translates to “curse,” “Lumo” means “fool,” and “lemo” refers to “licking.”
KiDi emphasized the importance of correct pronunciation to prevent any misunderstandings, ensuring that his fans can fully appreciate the song.
When questioned about whether the song reflects his personal experiences, KiDi responded that artists often explore imaginative themes in their songwriting, which may not necessarily relate to their own lives, and that was his approach as well.
