The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially declared former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta a fugitive and placed him on its wanted list for failing to cooperate with an ongoing investigation.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng revealed that Ofori-Atta had repeatedly ignored invitations for questioning despite being a key suspect.

“Consequently, the OSP declares Ken Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta a wanted person. He is a fugitive from the law,” Agyebeng announced.

The OSP stressed that it would pursue all necessary legal measures to compel the former minister to appear and respond to allegations under investigation.

While Ofori-Atta’s legal team claims he is out of the country indefinitely for medical reasons, the Special Prosecutor’s Office remains skeptical and is determined to secure his return for questioning.
