Ken Ofori-Atta Asks Court to Remove His Name from OSP Wanted List, Demands Compensation

Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has filed a lawsuit against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and its head, Kissi Agyebeng, over what he calls an unlawful and damaging declaration of him as a wanted man.

In his suit, filed on March 13, 2025, Ofori-Atta accuses Agyebeng of failing to act fairly and professionally, arguing that the decision to alter their engagement through media briefings instead of legal channels was a breach of due process.

He is asking the High Court to:

  • Order the removal of his name and photograph from the OSP’s wanted list.
  • Declare that Agyebeng acted unfairly by using media briefings instead of formal legal procedures.
  • Award him compensation for reputational damage caused by the public declaration.
  • Restrict the OSP from taking any action to forcibly return him to Ghana until the case is resolved.

Ofori-Atta also demands that any legal documents required for investigations be formally served to his lawyers, ensuring proper compliance.
